Alien Orifice (Middle Section at Gradually Increasing Tempos Rehearsal)

This is raw, unedited footage from a rehearsal on Thursday May 19, 2011. In This footage, we're running through one of the tricky sections of Alien Orifice. We're "looping" the section to get it under our fingers, at first at a very slow tempo, and then gradually increasing the tempo as it moves along. That's David Schmalenberger on Marimba, Dylan Jack on Drums, Alex Maiers on Guitar, Ryan Janssen on bass and Musical Director & Keyboardist Marc Ziegenhagen. This rehearsal was in preparation for "Zappa Goes to College," a symposium on the performance and scholarship of American composer Frank Zappa. This event took place on Sunday May 22nd, 2011, at the Brady Education Center of the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN.
