The tapping is part of a Jennifer batten lesson I'm still working on. It's polyrythmic tapping ( odd number groupings with two hands ). I have a youtube page with a lesson I'm still working on using a blue Kramer. Thanks for the comments everyone. More to come soon.

The sound comes from a Ibanez 150 solid state and a BOSS Harmonist on a chrous setting. There is amp distortion as well but it's not a buzzy kind of distortion, real smooth--it almost reminds me of the ole Rockman amp sound ( Rockman amps were designed by Tom Scholz of Boston ). It does feedback at high volumes. But the main thing I love about this amp is the clean section. It goes pretty high on clean woth NO extra distortion. Ibanez amps really are the big secret in the music instrument business. Thanks for the comments.
