Ship Ahoy

This is a very close approximation of Frank's tone on Ship Ahoy. He used an Oberheim VCF to get his tone and I used the same unit but had some help from my friend Matt Picone to recreate it in a unit called the Virus TI Snow. It's now identical to the Oberheim yet with more flexibility plus stereo panning.

Lovely!!! I just purchased myself a Zvex Ooh Wah which does an approximation of this sound and i'm finding it hard to drag myself away from the hypnotic trance it puts me and my playing into. I literally played for a straight 3 hours after taking it out of the box before i even got round to twiddling any of the dials on the effect. Marvelous stuff and so brilliantly executed on Ship Ahoy by FZ.

I hope you play this when you come to the UK later this year Dweezil, it will be a real treat!
