Tonight there was, once again, a documentary on dutch TV about the fabulously talented Jimmy Rosenberg.
Jimmy was first propelled into instant stardom within the (gypsy) jazz guitarworld aged only nine and after reaching many musical highes still only in his teens, when he was still being watched over, he has been on a rollercoaster ride due to drug abuse ever since. Got really interested in music at ca. 12 and haven't really stopped discovering.
Latest book: "Japan and self existence" by Mick Karn. Famous fretless bass player.
Mainly about his musical after and/or related to his membership of "Japan". Very interesting, especially concerning relationships wit record companies and the effects of access to marketing budgets etc.
How goes it 2B. ?
