As a long time Zappa fan, I am trying (and I am about to succeed...) to get my oldest daughter (18 years old yesterday) to understand and enjoy the music FZ created. When ZPZ played in Oslo last time, she was 17 1/2 years old - the problem was that there was a 18 year age limit to come in to the venue. I decided to take the chance, and bought two tickets for us. When we were almost at the entrance door, the guards in the door changed places, and a girl/woman came to the door where we were lined up. It didn't turn out good. My daughter was stopped and asked for a proof that she was 18 years old, which we of course did not have, and she was now allowed to come inside. So I had to follow her to the bus home. I felt pretty bad, and that partly ruined the show for me, thinking about her and how she must have felt. So I wrote an e-mail to Dweezil and told him about this episode (of course not blaming him - if it had been up to him, she would have been allowed to come in, I am pretty sure about that since one of his purposes of the ZPZ shows is to bring his father out to a younger audience). That was in June. I had fogotten all about it, but a couple of days ago I received an e-mail from Dweezil, where he told how sorry he was about this incident. To make it good again, he invited me and my daughter Stine Ingrid to meet him and the rest of the band before the next ZPZ show in Oslo. When I showed this e-mail to my daughter she was just a big smile. That shows what a great and nice person Dweezil is. I have a lot of respect for him - most "stars" would just ignore an e-mail like this from a fan. So Dweezil; thanks a lot - you have now two very happy fans! And we can hardly wait for ther next ZPZ show in Oslo! Best regards, Jørgen, Slemmestad/Norway
