My son and two friends rescued a girl from a flat in London last night, where there were a bunch of feckless scum looting the shop below and trying to burn the building down. The same cretins are otherwise described by the left-leaning do-gooder commentators as 'youths who feel disenfranchised from society'. Apparently the whole cause of this recent violence in London is socio-economic.....where, they tell us, the gap between the 'Have's' and the 'Have Nots' has become too wide. Rubbish!...Read more
Bridgeport lived up to my expectations! The show was superb and Bridgeport remains truly horrible! Despite some Neanderthal and oppressively over-zealous 'Security' staff ruining the first 20 minutes of the show shining laser lights and torches at people with cameras, the gig was a big success. 50/50 was the highlight for me. My son attended his first ZPZ show and he is now a convert! He was blown away. Thanks to DZ and everyone in the band for 'unlocking his mind'....!!!!

We were happily ensconced on our friend’s island hideaway when we were told there was a ‘red alert’ because of a threat by muslim militants to kidnap foreigners in Dumaguete, Bohol and Cameguin. Philippine navy patrol boats were deployed and anchored right off our friend’s beachfront property. All very entertaining. However, I can’t help but wonder if this is anything to do with the two tonnes of cocaine that have reportedly washed up in Samur, with only 180 kilo...Read more
THE HORROR! THE HORROR! There’s nothing quite like tropical rain. It comes down in what can best be described as a 'wall of water'. I’ve been sitting in it for days, in a fug and feeling like Brando’s character Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (the rogue soldier in Coppola’s epic movie ‘Apocalypse Now’). Some people have remarked that I am beginning to resemble Brando in the follicle and girth departments, too!
The film was shot here in the Philippines and ran famo...Read more
After every show, Dweezil stays behind and goes to a lot of trouble to give fans an opportunity to meet him, signs tickets/posters/CD's (and sometimes even body parts!) as a souvenir, and answers their myriad questions with great honesty and patience. I thought it would be interesting for people on this site to have a slightly more in-depth glimpse of where Dweezil is with his life and career at present, so he kindly set some time aside for me to interview him on the afternoon of the Phoenix ...Read more
Last night I was 'persuaded' by my two kids to go to Vudu, the only proper club in Cebu. "App" from the Black Eyed Peas was there and let them into his VIP (Very Important Philippino) area and so, I fear, cemented their adoration of the Black Eyed Peas, making my challenge of introducing them to FZ that little bit harder!! This morning, they are still bouncing off the walls and my ears are still bleeding, so thanks a bunch, Mr App!

If you read my note about Friday night’s show, you already know I was pretty impressed. Tonight’s show, however, surprised me in that Dweezil, George Duke and the band managed to raise the bar a few notches! It was an incredible show which had the full house totally rocking.
The set followed the Apostrophe tour format, once again kicking off with Gumbo Variations and then the Apostrophe album in order. After three nights of standing right at the front I simply had t...Read more
