My New Bride,Christine and I embarked on a dream Honeymoon to the UK in October of 1980...We spent three unforgettable weeks exploring and discovering on Your Enchanted Isle, and our lives were forever changed. In our 28 years of marriage, we shared an affection for All Things British...St. Patrick's Day, 2009, My Love left this Earth, taken by cancer-from initial diagnosis to Her Death in less than four months. Our dream was to return to England this October for our 30th Anniversary, but alas, it was not to be.
We were avid Frank Fans, and watched the Zappa children grow and blossom into the remarkable individuals they are today. We also watched that remarkable Family deal with the cancer that ultimately claimed Frank.
I'm going to have the privilege to see Dweezil and ZPZ this Thursday night in Ventura, and it will be the first time since Christine's death, but She will be with me in Spirit.
Here's to Friendship across the Waters!
