"Listen to the moonlight bouncing off a rotten carcass..."
As we know from Frank's autohagiography, The film, "Run Home, Slow" 1965, was directed by former high school teacher Don Cerveris with original score composed and conducted by Frank Zappa.

Check out this dried movie remnant:
It wasn't even Frank's movie, yet the conceptual continuity is astounding. Yes, that is what would later become "Duke of Prunes" in the background! A hint of religiosity, dopey hunch-backs, sex as great fun or awful "sin" ... It's all there!
Did FZ have his entire body of work trapped in his head in the beginning, and spend forty years trying to let it out? The more you dig, the more interconnections you find ... as Monty Python said during the Gumby sketch, "My braaaaain huuuurts!"
FZ would have been 72 today. Happy Birthday Frank!
your hobbies really suck. literally!
Hi from Omak, WA Chris. Nice to meet you digitally.
New Reissues?
I'm getting regular emails from Amazon saying "Just released, Bongo Fury", or "Just Released, Waka jawaka" etc. What's up? Did the regular CD's get moved and reissued on another label? Or have they been reissued and possibly improved, remastered?
String Theory: What Are Harmonics? | CTS Mastering Blog
This guitar-centric post attempts to demonstrate harmonics, what they are, how they are created, and why the harmonic series generates the chromatic scale and key structure.
If you have ideas for other topics I should blog about, I'm interested to hear them!
And of course, if you have anything that needs mixing or mastering, get in touch. Really, I'm trying to generate website traffic and get some work!
Here's the article:

Thanks for reading! And, if any of you could redistribute this on your own feeds, or post to forums like gearsluts, The Gear Page, homerecording.com etc. I'd be eternally grateful!
