Today the dutch think of/remember all the people that died due to war, in general and in the first and second world war in particular. Tomorrow we will celebrate our freedom!

Mandatory days with Easter, but I have to pay for them myself! WTF.... and I don't even believe in the easter bunny!!
yesterday one of the 8 year old girls from the drawingclass... told me how she and her parents had a valentines breakfast with real strawberries and liquid chocolat and how they put the strawberries in the chocolat... and she looked so happy... a smile from ear to ear! So cute! I just had a peanutbutter sandwich, hahaha!
Zo heb je geen kinderen en zo heb je er ineens 16/ Then you have no kids and then all of a sudden you have 16 of them... and all fine 8 year old artists :-)
This morning it felt like I entered a moviescene... when I arrived at the house of the son of the woman I work for on thursday... -to clean his house while he broke his hip-, the old lady started crying. She just found out that her son had been in a depression for 6 years after losing his job (30 years at a bank), but didn't tell anyone. She was embarrased to show me what she found entering the house. A house that hasn't been cleaned for 6 years ... try to imagion! Carpets made out of dust, walls painted with grease. Kinda harsch to say, but the cleaning did give satisfaction... it is better doing a job that is needed then getting rid of dust that isn't there, while you cleaned it already the week before when it was also not there :-) But still... it made me wonder about people's lives. About how people hide there problems and emotions. And how an accident can sometimes save someones life. And then a funny twist... before I left, I noticed a huge cd-collection of oldfashioned rock&roll and while I was so enthousiastic about that the lady told me to lent whatever I liked from the collection to listen to until her son would come home. Somehow I left the house with a head filled with thoughts but feeling really light at the same time and carrying a heavy bag of feelgood music.
Today a person that listened to the mass we sang in last sunday morning wrote to my choir: that heaven probably sounds like us :-) :-) This even makes a non believer like me get a smile on the face, hehe ;-)
Listening to a great blues collection from all the way back until now.... suits the sunday very well.
Soon off to the Joke Jacket Award Contest... through the white city. Last year I won the jacket, by accidentally making a funny joke about never remembering the clue of a joke.... no idea what happened but I sure made the Joker laugh :-)
I'll tofurkey right off to bed now!... to dream some more about partying with the seals after the big rescue... while all you guys ENJOY!! you big birdy meals :-)
Off I go... demonstrating again. Last week it was to protect squated buildings from getting evacuated... which actually was a protest against vacancy of houses during housing shortage. Today it is against the raising of taxes on art and cutting down cultural fundings.
Popie made me a moon- emoticon... (__!__) and made me laugh real hard! Cannot become anything but a good day today :-)
Got the feeling I'm back in Art Academy, while finding out that the latest paintings of my studio neighbour are from a new series called Motion, showing people in movement. When I told her I was a bit surprised about that, she dared to say 'Why?'..... BBBLLLLLLLGGGGGG!!!!!!!

Thanks guys :-)... I did have a wonderful opening. It was heart warming how many sweet friends showed up. And one of my friends danced her solopiece (from a dancepiece she did earlier in some theaters) so beautifully and my childhood friend and a friend of him made such beautiful music. So we all shared such a special evening!! I'm filled with happiness and feel so very rich! Sweet dreams to all of you :-)
