Hi there, Massimo,
Thanks for your warm reply.
Yeah, kids are something, aren't they?
Did you check out Pino already?
Anayway, last time I saw Dweezil, in Amsterdam he was better than ever. Some of the things he played could have been done by Frank himself.
Myself I've been a FZ fan for about 40 years now. First album I bought was Fillmore East. Just out at the time and from then on I bought all the rest. Later on I started downloading concert recordings. Got lots of them now. Some of them from Italy.
As a hobby I've been doing some guitar for 40 years now. Last October I was invited to join a FZ coverband as a bass player. Of course I accepted. We're called To Be Frank.
We lost two guitar players for various reasons, but we're still friends. Now we're expanding the band again. One guy who plays the guitar, who is only 20 years old, likes to join and another one of 44 who plays the guitar, but also had a classical training on the trombone. August 20th we're getting together and we'll hit it off.
The songs we play now are Broken Hearts, Ya Hozna, Willie, Take your Clothes off, Harry, What's the Ugliest, Magic Fingers and Pygmy Twyly…Read more

LAst Sunday I was jamming with the drummer and we did Eat that Question. Later we were joined by a singer who happened to be around and enjoyed ourselves some more.
We aim to play at Zappanale next year. We should have 90 minute set by then.
I'll keep you posted.
By the way, have you been doing strange things to chicken lately?
Mille grazie, for your invitation, Massimo.
I once visited your beautiful city, more than 30 years ago, but still I have fond memories about Roma.
I envy you very much for joining Frank. I wish I had been so lucky.
Anyway, now there's Dweezil and we seem to get on pretty well.
Love his new CD (he and most of the bandmembers signed it for me).
Your profile photo, is that your family? If so, you must be a very lucky man with such a beautiful wife and children. I have three kids. A 22 year old daughter, who just a few months ago went on living with her boyfriend just a few blocks away from here. The I've got two boys, 20 and 16. The older plays the piano quite nicely, but not nice enough to earn his living. The youngest though plays the drums and guitar. He's got loads of talent. He's a great fan of Pino Forastiere, check him out if you don't already know him.
Hello from sunny Norway to sunny Italy :-)
Maybe we meet at the Zappanale ? The best musicfestival I've been to. If you hav'nt been there GO
Best regards Atle
Happy holidays and best wishes...
Super message Massimo!!
