An update on my buddy Jonathan

This is me with my buddy Jonathan Haft who suffered a traumatic brain injury when we were on vacation together in Mexico in Novemeber -- in this picture (taken by Pope Jim) we are waiting on line to see DZPZ in LA with George Duke on FZ's 70th birthday -- I flew out to LA from NYC for 24 hours just to catch this concert and Jonathan (who saw many FZ concerts with me in theewarly 70's) was excited to see Dweezil in LA in 2010. So today is the first day of Hanukah (or Chanukah -- doesn't make a difference because it is a Hebrew word and either spelling is an approximation of the pronuciation called transliteration). While many people will be celebrating various holidays in the coming days (Kwanzaa, Solstice, Christmas, New Year's, Sylvester{ I'll describe this in 10 days}) - Hanukah is the most in keeping with FZ's world view. Hanukah (which actually means "rededication") commemorates the Maccabian Revolt and Victo...Read more
