been a while hope y'all good...I had h**l year...so haven't been around...wishing everyone a great 2012...despite all the prophecies of doom, and that corporate greed has screwed a lot of folks...it has had one good result and that is that it's bonded many of us to say "enough you a******s" ...together we can provoke changes hopefully for the better...Happy Trails :)
Working at the National Folk Festival here in Canberra, couple of short shifts Today (Friday) and another Monday... rest of the time soaking up some fine playing... in friendly atmosphere...

My car's crying, the clutch is dying...my brain is composed, as my cash becomes disposed...soon it will be alive...I'll move again with motor and fuel It'll feel cool... if it doesn't work...I'll buy a giant poodle and saddle...take care one and all...

A friend and I just discussed Roy Estrada singing falsetto on 'Disco Boy' live in Sydney 1976...and how Frank introduced the song highlighting Roy's talents... I recall him asking the audience at the Hordern Pavillion to ignite their bic lighters or lighters in general (it was a trendy thing at the time) which we all did dutifully, and then he proceeded to ask us "there now...don't you feel like real dickheads" the sound of thousands laughing at one moment was exhilarating and then...into 'Black Napkins' with special guest Norman Gunston (aka Gary McDonald an Australian actor comedian) it remains as 3 and half hours of absolute lucid memory between us...my mood is now lifted after missing out on playing with my band tonight...
Rehearsal with guys tonight...first one for a few weeks...looking forward to it...just love playing with the guys...gonna make my week...stay well folks...

(I had to attribute the quote so re-posted)

My daughter Riley (11)budding pianist and son Anton (guitar, bass, and drum fiend) chowing down on pancakes and watching 'Calling Any Vegetable' and 'My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama' was something to behold almost brought tears to my eyes...I feel I am succeeding as a parent
