Read moreDuring the YEAR 1971, FZ endures several INCIDENTS, while his 200 Motels show meets SUCCESS, but is also heavily attacked. On February 8 Marion Herrod BANS the Royal Albert Hall sold-out concert at the last minute. The December 4 a fire stops the Casino de Montreux show and destroys GEAR. 6 days later, on DECEMBER 10, in LONDON again at the Rainbow Theater, a deranged member of the audience jump on-stage and pushes Zappa into the orchestra pit, almost KILLING him!
On September 1985, FZ testified before the US Senate attacking the Parents Music Resource Center, a music organization co-founded by then-Senator Al Gore's wife Tipper Gore. The PMRC consisted of many wives of politicians, including the wives of five members of the committee, and was founded to address the issue of song lyrics with sexual or satanic content.
