I've enjoyed listening to and getting to know all of the other musicians on the tour. Playing with Billy Cox and Chris Layton on Freedom as a power trio has been a highlight so far. More to come ...

Hello dolfanfriz, i'll be happy to see FLO & EDDIE again!
It's very cool...The original Capitol version of Lumpy Gravy is included. It's in mono and it includes most of the studio orchestra stuff from the MGM album...no talking inside the piano. It also features many of the original basic instrumental tracks from "We're Only In It For The Money" before FZ VSO'd them, and they're a real revelation. Billy Mundi, not Jimmy Carl Black, is the drummer on these basic tracks and he is fantastic...I can imagine that Frank wasn't happy to see him leave. His groove is incredible and his chops are up to par with anyone working in rock or R&B at that time...in fact it matches up well with players today.
The real treat in the box is a 25 minute track called "How Did That Get In Here?" which features a few of the original themes from "Lumpy Gravy" played by Abnuceals and morphing into a jam with cues. It's brilliant although the clavinet (panned hard right) is a little overbearing due to high mid EQ.
It was worth $50.00 to me.
Alright - I'm guessing the Dolphins are just missing from your interests - I'd be a better guitar player if the fins didn't take up 3 hrs every fall weeknd - Anyway, thanks for the friend request, and hit em straight
Cheers, Jim
I just picked up the December 2010 issue of guitar player magazine and Dweezil is on the cover and is the feature interview. I was able to find son of shut up and ordered it but I can't find the DVD that he has been talking about. Anyone know where to order the DVD?
