Nice to meet you! Nice silverburst Les Paul by the way. I was looking into getting one a few years ago but got an "Alpine White" one instead. It's been beaten up, but it still looks great
Yeah, the RG is awesome, I also have a Ibanez S520 EX, but that one isnt that good, but I have come to prefeer guitars without the floydrose system, cause I tend to use diffrent tunings on my guitars..
Currently Im using 2 custom shop guitars built by the "Charleys Guitarshop", they built some guitars for Stevie Ray Vaughan, Doyle Bramhall II ect and I am very happy with my two :)
And I am running them through a 69' Marshall Super Bass and a 2010' Marshall Super Lead amp, and I am currently looking for a Fender amp or something which I can use for more rythem and classic rock playing :)
Hi 42 Douglas! Thanks for your reply. First I looked at videos and DVD's with Frank playing his SG, and read some interviews in wich he was talking about it. I figured out that Frank had the following stuff in to his SG; A preamp (wich also boosted the signal by 18db), coil tapping on both pickups, series/parallel switch, probably a phase switch, and a built in green ringer effect. (I'm not really sure if the phase switch in working properly in my guitar, but I hear a slight difference in the sound when i switch it on). So when i knew what kind of electronics were going into the guitar, i had to find a good wiring diagram. I looked on the internet and i found this site; http://www.guitarelectronics.com/category/wiring_resources_guitar_wiring_diagrams/ wich has a lot of good wiring diagrams for all kinds of setups. You can also order kits, so you don't have to order parts yourself. On this site i found the 'Jimmy page style wiring' diagram. this featured coil tapping, phase switching, and parallel/series function. This diagram featured push/pull pots, and i decided to change them with regular DPTD switches like FZ had. (push pull pot…Read more

So i began wiring the guitar like the Jimmy page style wiring. When that was finished I ordered a Green Ringer kit on the internet, and put that together. Then I put the green ringer and the preamp between the Pickup selector and the output (the preamp last, so that it always boosts the complete signal, and not just part of it). And then it was finished :) I hope this information was usefull, if you don't understand something... ask me :)
Disturbing the neighbors with belligerently loud guitar playing is cool, especially when they realize you have "chops' and they can't label it as noise. Ha! Crank up them there Marshall's and Welcome to the New Weird Order.
Just passing through.
Hope you and all yours are good and well.
Take care buddy.
Hello there, lovely to meet you here!
