I'll never understand why people pay nearly $ 100 for a concert ticket, and then start walking from their seat to the bar and the other way around as soon as the first song has started, insist on talking through the entire performance, have more attention for celebrities in the audience than for the ones on stage, drink so much that they are too p****d to remember anything that they see and leave fifteen minutes before the end so they miss out on the best part and the encores.
Why do these people pay so much money to be so annoying to so many others is what I can't grasp - updated 7 months ago

- About me:
A huge fan of FZ since I saw him live on Dutch TV in 1970. I was eleven at the time, and that moment changed my life. I already loved different kinds of music, but from that moment FZ became the center of everything. When I met who would become my wife (I was 16 then) I turned her on to his music as well and we haven't missed a concert in our funny little country ever since. We have always introduced our kids to all kinds of music (so that they knew there is more than what is on MTV - fortunately they picked up on it) - and after my wife passed away in 1999 I continued to take them to concerts, including ZFZ, and I am very, very grateful that even though Frank is not with us anymore I can still give them the opportunity to experience this fantastic music played live.
Apart from Zappa I love a wide range of music (Buckethead, Stones, Public Image Ltd., Penderecki, Roosbeef, Deadmau5, Big Deal and too much to mention) and compose music myself which I record and I play guitar in a band (which does not perform my music, though, as it is the vehicle for the songwriter who formed it - we do only original compositions).
Films is another passion I have, mainly Lloyd Kaufman (the best director in the world, creator of the Toxic Avenger and president of Troma), and directors Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Ruggero Deodato, Jean Rollin, Andrew Repasky McElhinney et al).
Apsrt from all that I am most importantly a father to the kids, now 15 and 17, and I try to lead them through the jungles of ridiculousness that is our school system and enjoy great things in life.

Well we certainly agree about music and how it reaches people differently. I discovered many of my favorites years after their heyday and many others before it. I'm on an endless quest to find new music partly because i tend to tire quickly of much of what i hear. But then i will stumble on some piece or someone that really speaks to me and they go on the list, and at the top of the list is Frank and now Dweezil Zappa! Never get tired of listening to them.
I am glad to hear that you're interested in the music that i play and would be delighted to share it with you. Below is a link to a video of an Alt Country band I've been playing and writing with since 2004 and be sure to check out vids from my self-indulgent cover band the Carbon Cowboys!

Thanks Ton, for accepting my request despite our differing opinions on Buckethead!! At least we agree about Zappa!
