I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. My wife seems open to the idea if I can convince our 5 1/2 year old to let his daddy be gone for that long. No way, can I convince my wife to attend with my son and I, and no way, I could just bring him along without her.
If I can make it, I'll probably need to do the camping option to save on dinero. Anyone has experience doing this from last year, and has any tips or advice, I'm all ears. I'd plan to bring a guitar, extra strings, an iPod with audio plug-in, clothes, and other normal camping gear. Is there a way to charge an iPod from a campsite? Anything else I should bring?
It's not super likely that I can make it, but there's still a chance. It seems like it would be a dream come true and life altering experience. I've done other weeklong camps before, but never a music one. Only nèiji? ones. One time in the Blue Mountains so I know how beautiful that part of the country is. Quite a number of timezones from Seattle though.
I'm getting that same feeling that I had in my late teens when I sent $50 worth of postcards to MTV to win a guitar lesson with The Man's son. I had a disappointing loss, there. Last year there was no way for me to make it. But this year I'm letting myself start to believe, although I keep getting scared they'll run out of room. Gotta convince the fam... (new mantra)

Well, I couldn't swing it this year. But, I do have a commitment for next year. So I hope, hope, hope, please, please, please, Dweezil, have another one next year, would ya?
Best of luck =)
