I knew there was a reason I was drawn to look at your past blogs..WOW.. This is my absolute most favorite thing to have read on this entire website, I must say.. it is so nice to hear, with such love in your words, what kind of adventure and experience you let your daughters have.. This is really inspriring for me, so thank you for sharing this, even though it was about 8 months ago... I suppose I should get back to writing my lesson plan, teaching how to make moccasins tomorrow morning, that should be fun.. but not as fun as free form painting :)
Say, wasn't that 'Chunga's Whiskers' I heard on a Volkswagon ad last night? Sweet! Little kids and some Dora the Explorer going on... sounded nice - fit well! Yep - you look good in that Dad thing - daughters rock! I just spent some time with my younger -31 yrs now - in Brooklyn - she is still a goofy little kid! Yay! Happy Days, Dweezil!
Even with all of the ways that you can arrange 12 pesky notes to interact with each other, there's still nothing quite as beautiful as watching someone enjoy their children. (He smiles from a-far...)
It's fantastic to see you back with your kids, it must be so hard to be away from them for so long, it kills me just to leave my son to go to work everyday! My little boy loves body/floor/wall/everywhere art too and we have laid out rolls of paper for him to create on, so we now have a 6 foot square painting on our wall at home which is a beautiful mess of colour, hand and foot prints and chaos!
Next time throw a big roll of paper down and you get to keep the results!
It's sad to read of the personal sacrifices that you have had to make to continue to spread your father's music around the world but rest assured you are bring happiness to thousands in the process and honouring your fathers legacy in the greatest way.
The statue dedication in Baltimore, the three day celebration in London, the street name in Germany and many other events are all testiment to the way in which your hard work is bringing some much deserved and long overdue recognition for the unique and great genius of Frank Zappa. Long may you continue to love and want to do what you do and I'm sure that your daughters will be immensely proud of what you have done in th…Read more
