Hey Dweezil;
the Fractal sounds GREAT!! KILER TONE,VERY "3-D",I want to save for either a Fractal FX OR a DIGIDESIGN ELEVEN Rackmount. I aven't heard much about the "DD",except for one on Harmony central user reviews,I think the guy isn't setting up the Rack for LIVE use the way he should, says it's 2 dimensional, but sounds AWESOME on headphones. I have a "LOW BUCK" Behringer V-AMP PRO Rackmount that is AWESOME,fave amp model is the "ENGL SAVAGE BEAST",I think you'd really like it,sounds very "DWEEZILLA-ISH,just tweak the model, add some verb and delay,....KILLER!!
I will at some point get a USB hookup for my gear and play a bit for you, seriously underrated Stuff from Behringer, but,I've learned that just because a piece of guitar gear is EXPENSIVE,doesn't mean it's gonna be your HOLY GRAIL,for Now,I have aLine 6 and the BEHRINGER VAMP-PRO,even though it only cost me $170,It sounds AWESOME and with some tweaking,it can get you everything from Crystal Clean Chorus tones,to EVH "BROWN SOUND",and the Reverbs are KILLER,from a "Practice Room,Dry,no depth,to sounding like I have my PEAVEY CLASIC 100 Full Stack hooked up in a CATHEDRAL!Read more

I don't know squat about "fractal tones",but I'm learning. Thanks Dweezil!Who had the eureka moment? Was that sound quoted by Robert Fripp or before? Being a total novice on this subject,I would of thought instuments like the sitar had been studied for there fractal sounds decades ago?
Is it like two guitarist playing together that makes a whole new beast? Like sky sculptures?
The difference being....?
Really,I'll show you my thumb.I hear a difference between the 1st Mammy Solo (fuzzy-but friendly sound) and the latest,Your Mama-Bearsville (clear as ringing a bell)but a little anti-septic..less filled in sound.Your guitar sounds somehow different.Same axe on both? Thank you Dweezil.
Music is The Best! Just call me curious Kirk

I agree with Mike DZ. Also, it was great again to see you and the band. Awesome sound and show. H.O.B. in A/C 6/27/10. It was cool how they let all ages in, as usually not the norm.
Maybe it's time for a once in awhile visit from a character that your Dad thought up comes out during the song and you talk about him. A Veggie, or a Poodle, or...cause you ARE getting a younger following cause us parents that followed Frank were 20 years both ways of him, so! Now's your "sweet spot" time to go ALL OUT DUDE! Take it to the next level!
Peace, RockinRob!

Great idea DZ, I stay tuned =)

Whoops, mentioning Australia EVERYTIME I visit from now on.

Geoff Pointer

Inspirational clips, every one of them. Hey Dweezil, Is the Mammy Nun from Adelaide? I'm going to keep mentioning Australia I visit from now on, you know, down there in the Southern Hemisphere.

just dave

Saw you guys play at Roseland Theater last evening and had a great time. My back gave out and I had to sit in the corner at the end. I was hoping to run into folks at Dante's afterward but then went home to rest my back so I could be up drinking coffee again, which is now commencing.

I have so many questions.

@Mark,

If you had not noticed Dweezil did comment a few days back that he would be setting up an additional Audio Area that would give examples of the general arrangement/vocal areas of compositions that the new band lineup have been performing.

BTW I am very happy for you and all Blackhawk fans regarding the 2010 Stanley Cup Victory. Who knows maybe sometime down the line in 2010 DZPZ will give a special performance that gives a nod of appreciation to that.

Imagine if you will "a sport with a PUCK had to be 'bout the best As he jabbed his elbow in her" Vamp with Guitar Solo would be very interesting. There are so many little motifs that could be developed into solo vamps and I see no reason as to why that would not make for something that Dweezil could add guitar and it makes it's own sauce. I think of that Aerosmith song "Back In The Saddle" that has the whips going on... How 'bout some hockey stick sounds clapping on the ice. Call and Response......FZ used that technique so many times in his arrangements. I chose Aaerosmith for even in pop music it has been used and we all know Aerosmith learned a thing or two from FZ. kaiser you are correct about the $250...because i flew from houston to see all 3 blender shows in n.y.c. and had a 4 night stay at a hotel near broadway...but that wasn't really the point...anyway if you want to see some nice photo's from those shows you can check them out on my photo page

Made some fattening sandwiches tonight. You guessed right. Philly Cheesesteaks. Lots of onions caramelized down then added white balsamic and a little ketchup. Of coarse the melted American cheese. Toasted Portuguese Hero Roll.

There are so many good things happening. Lots of things moving the project forward. The Audio Area here is one of the many welcomed treasures. Back to sandwiches, in that moment of enjoying a sandwich one can pause and realize millions of other people are doing that same exact thing now, no.. now, no... now. Well I had to add that little Steve Vai/Zappa thing there. Steve did turn the big 50 the other day on 06/06/10. Ya have to wonder how many people caught that Conceptual Continuity of DZ giving us 6 solos he created on 06/06. Hmmmm Good Sandwitch.

BTW The Stanley Cup Playoffs had nothing to do with eating that sandwich for I had been listening to some arrangements from the Frank Zappa Philly '76 concert that DZPZ have been doing and I just went with it. There is always room left for Brats and Chicago Style Pizza after they bring home the cup to the Mid-West.

thepoodlebites

I went to the three shows in Chicago(YCFOSA)
I trust DZ will come thru with this!
I will be buying the New CD also...
It's all good folks...Now go eat a sandwich!
(I love saying that..Thanks DZ!)

Kaiser Roll

totally wrong David D, I have all FZ and DZ albums and have seen FZ once and DZ seven times and I didn't think it was right to sell a cd of the same YCFOSA concerts that was promised to us for free. Also I have a feeling that you didn't pony up $250 to see any of the YCFOSA shows like I did.

David D

hey kaiser...give the guy some slack i bet you don't even have every f.z. album or c.d. you might want to finish your collection before you give d.z. some s##t...dd

thepoodlebites

Any clips with the new PRS...
Good stuff

Carol

Sounds fantastic ... Thanks Dweezil!

Dweezil thanks for responding to my comments, I guess I just needed some assurance that the downloads will eventually be delivered as promised, but please don't take this the wrong way I was only venting and I will now be patient in waiting for the downloads. Have a great tour. Jeff
