Touring Can Make You Crazy
Hello Everyone,
We've all heard the phrase "Touring Can Make You Crazy" but in the case of this upcoming tour I believe it will help me regain some sanity. I've been going through a difficult time and the music that we are playing this time around is quite inspirational to me. I'm really looking forward to playing the new material and exploring all of my new guitar tones.
I think the band is sounding excellent and I'm loving the additional keyboard textures. I'm also really enjoying playing a few new guitars.
Chris Norton has been working very hard to learn all of the material and he is doing a very fine job. He's also singing lead on a few tunes and sounding really good. Ben Thomas is really digging in to the new material as well. We have a few obscure tunes we've pulled out and Ben is really making them come to life.
I have a sense already that this will become one of our most enjoyable tours. Come share the fun everyone, fasten your seatbelts.

Hi Dweezil, We saw you show at the Calvin in Mass. a few years ago. Any plans on heading this way soon? The Latchis in Brattleboro Vt. would be an excellent small theather for a show.
Heya DZ,
Just wanted to mention that when you play small theaters, like the Tower in Bend, OR, please use drum shields. The drum kit masks the sound with too much "ambient noise" in such a small venue.
:-)
Hey Geoff,
I hope we'll make it down in January. Fingers crossed.
Hey Dweezil, please bring this this one to Australia at some point. After reading your blog I'm drooling already.
Nice weekend to drop into Oregon. Rose Parade today in Portland and NCAA track & field championships in Eugene. Shouldn't be too much trouble with traffic, but it's a busy weekend.
