Watching Return to Forever every night from this view point has been a humbling and educational experience so far. Each band member is amazing in their own right, but I'm particularly learning a lot from watching Stanley Clarke and Chick Corea play off of each other. It's really an honor to share the stage with these legends, and we've still got a month to go!
In Gryphon Labs news, we've released a FREE live in studio recording called The Red Room. We recorded it live in a studio with no overdubs or studio tricks, and I think it's a great document of what we sound like live at this point. You can download it (did I mention it's FREE?) at our Bandcamp page.
Thanks for that link Vile. That was cool to hear Pete's overview of his career. Rather insightful and interesting. Cheers to you Pete. I wasnt aware of your time with Edgar Winter. I have been a fan of his since I was about ten. I was llucky enough to see Edgar play with Johhny and Rick as one of my earliest concerts. Seeing them play Frankenstein had a lasting effect on me.

not being a RtF afficiando I have to admit Pete when I saw .... no saw isn't the right word, when I witnessed the skill of RtF and particularily Stanley Clarke, I immediately thought of Pete and the experience of being a "witness" watching the bass guitar being shredded with such skills .... there was an evolution of the band following tours with Bozzio and Vai that was noticable .... I am so looking forward to the evolution of ZpZ following this adventure ! ... hope you guys (and gurl) come back soon !
