For anyone who hasn't yet seen it, or merely would like to redigest it, the FZ 70th birthday at The Roundhouse documentary is featured on Sky Arts 1 at 7.00pm Friday 2nd December.
A chance to see Lizweedus in all his glory (now there's a nice birthday present John) is an aded bonus.
Come on Mars, the Roundhouse needs you, although no dates have been announced yet. The UK contingent are exceptionally good hosts, and a great time is guaranteed.
Just n the post - a Frank poster which was part of my Roundhouse ticket from last November. But- even more exciting - a letter saying news of the 2012 Frank Zappa Event will be released shortly. Please form an orderly queue!!!
I think there were more than 1. One of the Shut Ups and AAAAFAAAA weren't there if I remember right) but I cant remember which was the "official" missing cover.
The artwork was auctioned off by secret ballot - there were applications on reception at the time. I'm not sure if all the artwork was picked up - some winning bidders couldn't make it back to London after they were notified. Maybe if you contact the Roundhouse they might still have some in storage, if you were interested.

I was at the roundhouse. was there Friday and Saturday. had to miss Greggary Peccary on sunday - was gutted- what was it like anyone?
Yellow Shark was a bit out there for me. I had a few pints before going in, and I think the mini hangover set in, as I got a splitting headach. My wife who can't quite get zappa rather liked it - she thought it was hi-brough and avant guard enough to be good. kept commenting on what good musisions they must all be to perform this very complicated music. "Yes love - have you got any paracetamol in your bag?"
p*s that it? One hour at noon on Saturday? I don't get SkyArts anyway so it's a moot point, but I thought it was going to be the whole ZPZ show plus other parts of the weekend.
Nice one Richard. I really hope Sky manage to convey how unbelievably special and exciting the whole weekend was in the hour the programme's on for - somehow I doubt they'll manage it. But it'll still be a very special reminder! Let's see eh? Hope you're all keeping warm in this freezing weather people

Been back to The Roundhouse today to collect my Zappa album art. I am now the VERY proud owner of Zappa In New York and The Yellow Shark.
