I was lucky enough to dance next to Dweezil, dance with Scheila and twist and frug with Ben. I gotta be hoest and say it was the best thing in my life..Probably.

I was the lucky winner of the Hagstrom guitar at the blender the night before Halloween. I do not play but Dweezil showed me an A chord I think it was Filthy Habits that the band was playing I was in heaven, old friends who i saw frank with back in 1981 were visible in the audience, the sound was so thick, I played my A chord with everything i had, what a great time. thank you DZ and the band.

Twist and Frug

That was cool to be able to hear Evan play, considering the buzz about his performance. You did rip that night, it doesnt need to be heard to confirm that. But I am as anxious as you to hear the many nights of YCFTOSA, that I was fortunate enough to attend. That is one of the greatest perks of any concert I have been too. I do not mind the wait as Dweezil is true to his word, and an absolute perfectionist, which is why we love to go see him and his band perform. 23 times to date, and I am craving the next. Even considering Europe. Cheers GMBG

Thanks - still waiting for the mp3 from the show to see how I did in reality (rather than imaginary guitar solos). Even was lucky as Dwezil put up a sound clip of his moment. But, I am older and have learned to be patient.

Twist and Frug

Hey GMBG.. I ws there the night you played, and to see the guys the other nights who couldnt play, and I have to say that you totally rocked it. I was sitting behind the couple with the huge tit's that was right behind you, and I had a great time watching you and your wife have so much fun together after you played. I wish I could play as well as you do.

GMBG

Hey Evan - dweezil put up a sound clip of your solo on the Fractal Experiments section -- you lucky guy! Nice chops!

GMBG

We have to induct Evan into this club - the kid who got to play with DZPZ in Westbury on June 26 -- 16? 17? year old kid, got called up and blew everyone away. Well done!

My wife predicted that I would play with DZPZ the night before -- I bought myself a gift - all three nights of ZPZ at the Blender concluding on Halloween. The first night some uy won who didnt know how to hold a guitar -- I was there with a friend who said - you deserve it. The second night I took my wife -- another guy won who couldnt play -- she leaned over to me and said -- YOU WILL WIN TOMORROW. Halloween, I brought my son -- throughout the show, we kept on switching the tickets with the number on it as a joke. In the end, I won -- got to play with Dweezil and band -- my wife said later, "Told you" and my 15 year old son (at the time) actually thought his dad was cool for 15 minutes -- it's ok -- now that he is about to be 17 he now knows that I am cool.

Richard Drakes

Kurt, you ever hear of the Law of Attraction? It certainly worked for you.

Kurt - Son of the ROXY

i'd rather not go on and on about what happened to me... but I knew that i was going to win it, as soon as i found out that he was giving away guitars on his tour. I simply knew it.

he'd given me his guitar pick on his second tour, when i saw him at the berkely community theater. on the drive home i was telling my dad that i was going to jam with dweezil with that same pick one day.

I made sure to bring that pick with me when we went to the show...

lo and behold, the first night we attended, i had my pick with me and was randomly selected.

I felt like it was almost a divination or something, in that the universe was telling me 'music is your true path, follow it' because i knew so strongly that i was going to jam with the son of my favorite musician, and it actually happened.

thats the really really really short version of the story.

GMBG

OK - so I have written extensively about my 15 minutes of DZPZ fame - who else wants to write about their experience? What was it like for you?

Mars

and here you go.............
http://dweezilzappaworld.com/groups/65 Sister group met and done.

Mars

@Steven Volpp, you are a funny man. I think you do qualify since every time Dweezil posts or even moves around anywhere on this site, the whole DZW becomes a stage, and that sir, is the stage you created and are still standing on.
Me?? I think I am going to have to make a sister group for this one and call it "The People who wish they could they could join the group ( the "I've sat in with ZPZ Group) but can't becuase the only instruments we play well are air guitars Group"

Robert Artese

OK Im ready D,lets do this!

Frogwash

yeah no shite! I'll have to wait for the year I can make it to Dweezilla to jam with these guys, would be my guess.

@42Douglas funny!

Steven Volpp

I can only dream on making this list......

Still waiting patiently for the YCFOSA downloads to hear how I did on Halloween. Still one of the highlight memories. Broke my wrist 5 weeks ago - havent been able to touch a guitar until last Friday - tried a couple of riffs and had soaring pain up my arm. Saw doctor today and he said that tendon and ligament damage will take another 6 weeks to heal. Calluses are gone and it hurts too much to squeeze my kidney shaped hand exerciser. Longest I have been away from guitar playing since I was 7 (and that was 46 years ago - even continued to play when I busted my clavicle at age 16).
