Simply titled. This group is for anyone who has had the distinguished honor of performing, onstage, with Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa! You could be Eric Johnson. You could be a lucky winner of the free Hagstrom guitar. Or you could just be a lucky roadie on his birthday in Boulder Colorado;-)
I was lucky enough to dance next to Dweezil, dance with Scheila and twist and frug with Ben. I gotta be hoest and say it was the best thing in my life..Probably.
I was the lucky winner of the Hagstrom guitar at the blender the night before Halloween. I do not play but Dweezil showed me an A chord I think it was Filthy Habits that the band was playing I was in heaven, old friends who i saw frank with back in 1981 were visible in the audience, the sound was so thick, I played my A chord with everything i had, what a great time. thank you DZ and the band.
That was cool to be able to hear Evan play, considering the buzz about his performance. You did rip that night, it doesnt need to be heard to confirm that. But I am as anxious as you to hear the many nights of YCFTOSA, that I was fortunate enough to attend. That is one of the greatest perks of any concert I have been too. I do not mind the wait as Dweezil is true to his word, and an absolute perfectionist, which is why we love to go see him and his band perform. 23 times to date, and I am craving the next. Thanks - still waiting for the mp3 from the show to see how I did in reality (rather than imaginary guitar solos). Even was lucky as Dwezil put up a sound clip of his moment. But, I am older and have learned to be patient.
Hey GMBG.. I ws there the night you played, and to see the guys the other nights who couldnt play, and I have to say that you totally rocked it. I was sitting behind the couple with the huge tit's that was right behind you, and I had a great time watching you and your wife have so much fun together after you played. I wish I could play as well as you do.

My son loves to play Zappa! Covered I Am The Slime & others with one of his bands. We will be in Denver Monday. Orch C Row J. Please, please, please pick Josh Marquis. You won't be disappointed and it will be the thrill of his life!!!
