JT was seriously on fire during the two shows i saw the band...i especially liked his fills heading into the solo section of City Of Tiny Lites...absolutely stunning playing. The guy is ridiculously good in feel and technique
Having also complained to the UK's Rhythm mag about their lack of anything ZPZ over the last while, they reassured me there would be a JT article in the issue on sale 20th Dec, so hopefully that's true
r l l r l r l r r is the correct sticking in Andy not a singles pattern Joe Travers. I caught that on the first ZPZS DVD. of course all the notes are present but you are using an easier sticking pattern. (a trained ear knows the difference)
I marched with the instructor who is clicking the sticks and the guy with the baseball hat is the son of our old instructor. He is the guy in charge of the bass drummers

A flam is the sound produced by hitting a drum with both sticks, fractionally apart in time. This video demonstrates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4VOCdVJwQE
I have no idea what a flam is but I love flan.
Can someone explain what a flam is? I'd really love that. Sophie.

So this instructor (Paul Rennik) is leaving to go work for Santa Clara. Yay!
in the last 3 years both blue devils A corps and B corps have lost a total of 4 shows between them! Both have just won the championships today again.
Here is the "B" Corps which also won the world championships in the open class division.

My favorite drummer is Bozzio, but I also like Vinnie and Dennis Chambers, the three of them are out of this world. Virgil Donatti too.
One of my favorites playing on my stereo right now is Dutch drumer Pierre Van der Linden from Focus and Trace.
