Hello Everyone, For some reason I've had many people ask me about my fitness routine lately. I am happy to share the info with you. I created this group for those of you who are interested in making a positive change towards better health and nutrition. For me there were many reasons to make changes. I was physically out of shape and unable to really keep up with the explosive energy of our 2 daughters. I wanted to improve that for them and for myself. I also looked at the big picture and said, "I'm 40, I don't want things to seem like they are downhill from here. I want to enjoy life even more and be around for our daughters." I started with a great workout program called 10 Minute Trainer made by Beachbody with a trainer named Tony Horton. He's in amazing shape at 50 years old and is very motivational in that sense. He knows what he's doing and he makes it fun. All you have to do is show up push play on your DVD. After getting some great results with 10 minute trainer I chose a more extreme challenge. It's the exercise equivalent to playing Frank Zappa music, P90X. It is a serious workout, no messing around. Even though it's hard, it's fun and rewarding. Again very similar to the path I've chosen musically. I did all of these workouts whenever I could find the time whether it was 3 or 4 in the morning after a concert or early in the morning before making breakfast for our kids. I did them wherever I could find the space, dressing rooms, parking lots, offices etc - you only need about 15 feet of space. I never went to a gym and I only used resistance bands. I took the workouts with me and I was able to travel light. In the process of training with P90X I learned about many other Beachbody products. I bought and used many vitamin supplements and snack bars etc. They definitely helped me reach my goals. I'm not trying to be a salesman here, I'm just excited to share what I did to reach some fitness and nutritional goals for myself. If this info can help you then that makes me happy. That is the point of this Group - to help you and provide you with information in case any of you want to make a positive change in your life. I can help you save time and money. Anyone who is interested in purchasing the products that I used can go here to this link. You can purchase anything from that page if you want. http://teambeachbody.com/dweezil. It shows you what I use currently. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about the workouts or other products. There is one more thing I've recently found out about. It's a way to get 25% off of all Beachbody products. It might be best to consider this options after you've experienced some results that you really like with the products but here it is anyway. You can become a Team Beachbody coach. I did it because I use the products a lot and they do add up so the discount is good for me. Besides getting a discount, being a coach will provide you with a business opportunity should you choose to follow through with it. I have met some people recently who have changed careers and become a full time coach. It might not be for everyone but I bring it up so you can take advantage of the 25% discount. Who knows you might like the business opportunities and it might really help you financially as well. Anyway, I hope you find yourselves excited about taking on new challenges and if I can help by answering any questions I would be glad to do so. You know where to find me. - DZ

Holy snikies!! Guess what P90X will get you? Pregnant!! It took 7 yrs to conceive my first child and 6yrs for my second wasn’t planning on #3. As you can see it is not easy for me to have children so I wasn’t so careful once or twice and it didn’t concern me.  I still need to workout but not so extreme, what should I do now being prego? Any ideas?

Plyo metrics today, hard on my knees but good to get the heart rate up!! Got a little dizzy today during some of the exercises, maybe I had low blood sugar. I wanted to do this one  on an empty stomach.Doing my best and forgetting the rest!!

For me and my weight loss, I had to experiment a little more than necessary. I found out that if I cut out the more oriented sugar and dairy products, not only do I feel better but have WAY more energy. Plus, no caffiene at all and I drink about 2 liters of water daily. I get lots of excercise on the job that I do. But the meal plans was the hard part. But now, I am steadily loosing about 2 pounds a month ( for the record, I started my weight loss back in Decmber 2008 where I weighed at 232 pounds. I now weigh between 177 to 179 ). I am hoping to get to 170 by the end of summer when I start my swimming program in several weeks. PX90 was cool to check out. But with my schedule ( which is pretty challenging in itself ) PX90 wasn't going to work for me personally.

Any idea if there is a vegetarian version of the shakeology diet?
