Finally cured myself of GAS with the Strymon TimeLine (yeah, right!) ... and now I'm looking forward to hearing what Dweezil does with the Fractal gear!
Dweezil - if you ever find yourself feeling particularly benevolent towards some of your most devoted fans (specifically those in the Antipodes), then a quiet word to Cliff to get some more Axe FX II units sent to the distributor in Australia would be greatly appreciated
PS - I greatly enjoyed the vid on the Fractal site from the LA Amp show.
Looking forward to hearing some new compositions from you Dweezil and the Fractal sounds truly fantastic! However i could never get rid of my funky little stomp boxes that i have collected over the years the Fractal will have to be as well as and not instead of when i finally save enough money to buy one.
Can't wait to hear your new touring rig when you come to the UK later this year. I shall be catching 2 shows this year and bringing along my 15 yr old son again who has seen you 4 times so far (first time when he was 12) and he is hooked, i think his lumpy gravy T-shirt has fused with his skin he wears it so often.
I concur, would love to hear inspirations you might get from this rig Dweezil. It seems that any time I juice-up my sound with a new tool it takes my playing to new places!
I'm still blown away by my Ultra but from what i've heard the Axe Fx 2 is mega, ican't wait to hear your new rig and look forward hearing any new music you write using it.
I have been playing with the Fractal Axe Effects II. In one box it can now deliver virtually everything that is currently in my bigger touring rig.
The good news is that my new touring rig will now get much smaller and easier to transport and set up but sound much bigger and have even more sonic possibilities. This box is an amazing invention. Last night I programmed a sound that allowed an expression pedal to control custom interval scales in real time. In other words I can hit and hold a note with my fingers and use my foot to change the pitch in a sequence of selected notes up or down at any speed I want. Imagine playing like a wah but the wah adds ten more fingers to your hand.
Crazy stuff.
I'm more excited about all of the atmospheric elements that can be created with this box though. I'm hoping to starting writing some new music and utilizing specific sounds as signature riffs.
Haven't tried that one yet but i recently added a Way Huge Pork Loin soft clip injection overdrive pedal to my rig and am totally impressed by the silky sounds from this box. Highly recomended by Rex if you're after a new overdrive sound!!
Hello everyone, Just bought a ZVEX OOH WAH 2 and love it. It gets very close to that 'Ship Ahoy' sequenced auto wah filter thingy sound. Highly recomended. I played it straight out of the box for 3 hours before even tweaking a knob. This pedal is going to be my best friend for the foreseeable future.
I also tried out a Boss Dynamic Wah when in the shop and was very impressed but would like some opinions on it and other envelope filters to try out before i decide on which one to buy.
I've been really curious about the effects mix/expression pedal system on Dweezil's pedal board for some time now and while I understand the basic principles involved, the mechanics have alluded me. So I was in the rehearsal hall last night (Rex's garage) plugging and unplugging things and ran the input to the second amp in my rig (fender stereo chorus) thru a ABY and then a volume pedal and to the amp. When I step on the ABY to ignite my number two I can roll on the volume pedal and swell in any sound I have dialed in on that amp and compliment my number one (marshall 3203/4x12) which is on all the time. Just wondering if anyone has stumbled on this trick or something like it, and if someone has other ideas/anecdotes for the poor man guitarist to approximate this effect.

Hi all - new to the group. Love to collect gear but can't play worth a lick. I leave that to my 12yo son. Is there a place to post pictures of gear?
