This was all midi guitar:- http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=6604024
I,ve had many guitar synths over the years and have a love/hate feel for them. The link above was played on a Godin Multiac and a Maton JB6 with a midi pup.

My first gtr synth was a charvel gtm6 has a pizo p/u 6 sensitivity controls .... the best was it had a live seq that would be a min or so of looping midi ...... had that plugged into Mk-50 Roland tx81z Yam 19"rack mount synths ...

Then gr-09 which is still my rig going into logic 9 ... At first I had that going into a O1wfd Korg 16track midi ... high speed 4x by tascam with new noise reduction that was good .... I got qy-8 then qy-22 yam tiny drum machines / seq

I go through years without in .... just using k-board for input .. but it is out again will have to write something new for the board. @Brontis great recording !!!

one thing i AM doing is using my guitar with an USB audio interface that is plugged into my computer. i use FL Studio 9 XXL to record. I highly recommend that program for its affordability and features. its pretty much an entire studio wrapped up in an application. anyway, i can pretty much do anything i want with the sound, use it as a modulator for a vocoder track... apply reverbs, delays, flange, phasers, filters, equilizers, compressors, XY and formula controllers, etc... it also takes midi but i dont have any midi instruments. anyway, thats pretty much what i'm working with. I'll post some music here if i do anything interesting.

I have always wanted to do this. especially midi guitar.

You are welcome. I enjoyed hearing what you did! I wish I had a Godin midi capable guitar. They are very nice and I have enjoyed the two or three I have played. Well, again maybe in the future. I miss Frank Zappa way too much and it makes me so sad that he is gone, Thank You For the Comment, Steve

Thanks for listening and commenting, Steve. I also still have my original GR-300 and 202 guitar, which was basically an Ibanez Strat with the synth guts. I am always considering selling it, just to thin the herd, but everyone always says not to, that it is collectible, etc. I remember back in the day, I bought it because of people like Belew, Fripp, and Andy Summers. I really dug that fat washing sound. However, since it did not have midi capabilities, or real, authentic sounds like strings, horns, etc, and the tracking had not been perfected as well, I found it more to be of a sophisticated stomp box, than an actual synth. The first GR-33 blew me away though, and I am still in love with it. I recently got a Godin LGXT, and it has renewed my interest in guitar synthesis big time. It is a finely crafted instrument, and besides the Roland synth access, it also has piezo pickups with onboard eq system, Seymour Duncan Custom Humbuckers, whammy, just everything, really. It's pretty much a swiss army knife of a guitar that has kept me going big time lately.

Hey those were both good songs. I really enjoyed what you did with the Roland. I have the Roland GR700, GR50, and the GR30, but have not done any real work with them. That should be changing soon, Thank You, Steve
