Well this goes under the heading of 'OMFG' things that happened to me in my life.
I awoke one morning with an extremely vivid dream fresh in my mind, so I told Gazzoo (the Mrs.) about it. What I dreamed was that we were leaving for work that morning and got the car stuck in the snow in the laneway, then after finally getting the car unstuck I rolled it on the way to work.
So off we go to work. After not getting the car stuck I say "well, I guess we're off the hook, we didn't get stuck." Not 10 minutes down the road, going around a slight bend in the highway, I hit a patch of black ice and the car ends up upside-down in the ditch. I'm sure that if I hadn't told anyone about it, nobody would have ever believed me.
It was the one and only time that I "Dead Zone'd" and saw the future. Sort of.
Freaky, to say the least.

I had a strange event like that once. I dreamed that a firend of mine was playing his drums at a gig when he collapsed off his seat clutching the side of his neck. I asked if he was ok. He said, yeah, he'd be fine, his parents would look after him. But he doesn't get up.
A few months later he noticed a lump on the side of his neck. He went to the doctor and discovered he had lymphoma. Luckily he survived and is a close friend to this day.
The weird thing was not remembering the dream until flipping through my dream journal years later after his recovery and discovering the dream written down in there and that it preceded my friend's illness.

ahh.. a fellow oneironaut? How long have you been journaling? How many lucids? I've been rather lazy about mine just lately (kids keep me wayyy too busy) but every now and again I get enthusiastic about it, again. I started my quest for lucidity in 95, after reading Carlos Castaneda's books on the Teachings Of Don Juan (just "look at my hands" how hard could THAT be, right?) I've only had 2 full-on lucid dreams, but it was totally worth the enormous effort. You can read about them here (if you'd like):

Woke up a 3AM with the lingering thought to push the security camera (I have 8) button...when it cycled to the garage, it was FULL OF SMOKE. The hot water heater had burst into flames, with my Harley gas tank with high octane racing gas barely two feet away...I don't know what made me wake up and think push that button, but if I hadn't, I shudder to think of losing my house and possibly my life.
I Dreamed I was Frank Zappa doing an updated cover of "The Secrets Of The Animals" By You're Soaking In It"...
And the next thing I knew...
I was declared KRA-ZZZZZ!
