Olympic skating and Zappa Music
I'm not a big fan of ice skating but had it on last night. The mens short program Japan skater , skated to "Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix" and another to "Firebird" by Stravinsky. It got me thinking if anyone has every asked ZFT if they can skate to Franks music? And what anyone thinks would be a good Zappa song to skate to? Maybe Little Umbrellas or Heavy Duty Judy.
Black Napkins, or show off some fancy skatework to Peaches En Regalia. Sure winners - at least if I were judging.
A medley of "Absolutely Free" and "Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance." Wouldn't that be sweet?
G Spot Tornado.
I saw the Bold as Lover performance as well. The announcer commented on how good the song was.
i knew i recognized the firebird music--just not the title. i've heard it many times in different places...hard to believe igor's music caused riots (rite of spring). I gotta go with "peaches" too as great skating music. might even go with "sleep dirt" and "the deathless horsie".....
Did you guys see the American who skated to Jeff Beck's version of "A Day in the Life"? He didn't do too well, but the music sounded great!
How about "I promise not to come in your mouth", just the effect of having it announced over the PA.
