This is my first day here but I had to come here after I saw the show in Tarrytown. Everything about the show was fantastic! Musicianship, interaction with audience, audio, etc. I didn't notice the fade of DZ guitar that other's noted.
I did not know what to really expect and was completely overwhelmed! (in a good way) I was impressed with the song choices and the way they were performed. Absolutely fantastic... they were tight (or at least appeared so) and yet had enough looseness to them to elevate them from good to great. I hope that makes sense to someone. Somewhat the difference between watching a robot walk and a person walk may be a decent analogy.
In any event, DZ, band and crew, I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for a show that stands out as one of my all time favorites and I have seen an awful lot of shows.

I'm not the greatest on details, so if it's ok, I totally agree with the Ambassador's review of "The Tarrytown Show". Also Thanks for posting in order, the song list. I saw another list that wasn't true.

The BAND is growing like it was hit with Radioactive Fallout. It's mutation has happened so quickly that I had my mouth fall open for the entire show.

I saw them one year ago and Ben was introduced as a new member that night too. Ben had little effect on that show, infact I thought he was a photographer for awhile. He did sing and played harmonica, but what a transformation on Saturday night. He's been putting some long hours in, closing in towards filling the gap of Napoleon Murphy Brock. Can I dare say that or will I be outcast?

My wife & I usually stick a wad of foam into our ears, but we both went without. No result of a hearing loss has occurred, WHHHAT! We sat in row M, right on the aisle, just under the balcony.

I once asked Dweezil, on-line, about seeing his father always tuning his guitar throughout his shows. He replied that Frank used a Peterson strobe to tune, because Frank recorded every show & always wantRead more

Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa. The Higher Ambient Domain. So much new material, improvisations, tonal palates, dancing, Unexpected Perfection. Yes it all sounds so familiar where some from outer worlds label my views with discord response of ideologies of cut and paste template programs but from April 2006 to what we are seeing today what's apparent is the collection of those who are in commune with this Ambassadors philosophy is a trend of ever growing proportions.

My daughter loved the show and remarkably to my pleasant surprise my wife who by this time is appreciating the music and performance so much more than she had on Halloween 2006.It is a matter of exposure. My buddy and his wife who flew up from from Florida also had a great time. The gal wearing a brimmed hat in front of my buddies wife made full stage viewing a bit difficult for her but some fail to see how their actions or apparel affect others. I am not a favorati kind of guy but this concert pushed the envelope where my entire being was pulled into the ideologies of labeling one particular concert such. Definitely up there with Frank Zappa Ritz, November 17, 1981. With twRead more

Dweezil, I saw the four monitors for the guitar on stage near your guitars, but it seemed that it was only for show - we didnt hear them. It wasnt that your guitar was absent, but down in the mix that I could hear, since we were getting most of the sound from the stage and the not the house speaker racks. Just punch up those monitors for those of us lucky enough to be way close. Thanks for a great show and have a wonderful Dweezilla!

The Voyeur

There were some solos that dz's guitar was difficult to hear, mostly in the last third of the show.
The blue light was fantastic-The sound you were getting out of that SG was awesome-and while I recognized the solo portion as being lifted from "inca roads/SUPYG" -I did not mind a bit that you played Inca Roads later in the show.
The highlight of the show for me was that Blue Light solo-just lovely.

Uncle Remus

Yo Mama, and Advance Romance, Dweezil u keep gettin better 6th show since the Beacon. I'm comin to Woodstock and Bridgeport.

Porkyspups

A GREAT SHOW!! YOU GUYS SOUND GREAT! LOVE THE EFFECTS ON DWEEZILS GUITAR!!THANKS FOR A GREAT NIGHT!!

Dweezil

GMBG, Sorry you couldn't hear the guitar. I do have monitors on stage on this tour that are facing the audience. There are four speakers on stage.

I have them fairly loud too. I'll look into it more.

Steve

Ah, the return of Ms. Pinky!

Chile Palmer

Sheilas sax was strong and dweezil just ripped as usual.. inredible show. Loved the old Flo and Eddie " what kind of girl" Might head up to the Bearsville this week ..

zappa_one

great show, highlights, guitar solo during easy meat. Jamie's solo. yet, blue light and pick me I,m clean were a bit tame, not like tinseltown or any of the you tube pieces, still love vinnie colaiuta drum work on those pieces. all and all a great night, new songs. excelent see you all in bridgeport.

BONGIORNO, Westbury tickets are still available. I'm psyched. Literally five minutes from my house and not a bad seat in the place. This set list is amazing. I can't wait for Saturdsay!!

GMBG

Terrific show seen from front row center. Kudos to Chris and Ben's trumpet was appreciated. Everyone played remarkably - all solos were spectacular (tonight Pete was on fire on Apostrophe, Jamie's solo in Advance Romance was also a standout). The downside of sitting in the front row is one doesnt get the whole house sound and where that really made a difference was in Dweezil's guitar - I am sure that the rest of the house heard it loud and clear but for those of us right in the front, without an amp and with Dweezil going direct into the house mix, the guitar was sometimes below the rest of the band. How about a monitor for your guitar facing the front? Again, it was a truly wonderful show and a great setlist from all periods of the master. See you in Westbury - sorry to miss Dweezilla, wasnt sure my broken wrist would have healed on time (it is all better now).

Steve

Amazing show. It just keeps getting better. Thank you Dweezil, you guys put all you have into each show. And we appreciate it.

BONGIORNO

I like what I'm seeing in the set lists you've posted so far. If you could sneak Andy into the set list for Tarrytown, I'd really appreciate it!

Welcome to Tarrytown Dweezil! Just 3 requests - City Of Tiny lights, Big Swifty and Eat That Question. Wouldn't mind Packard Goose either, but it's ALL good. Bringing 3 first-timers tonight, nothing like a ZPZ virgin!!!
