I'm going to check those photos out tomorrow poodle! Can't wait..I concur with Josa Dachn's suggestion, more dirty south shows! Even if Nash won't have you, I'm sure some place close like Chattanooga will. Lindsey, with whom we had dinner with, you were working it the WHOLE time, well done Sir!!
Was ecstatic to know an old request of mine from last tour (as well as Inca Roads) came up that night in the form of City of Tiny Lites. Made my night... and my first time seeing Chris, who only did it justice and some more. The Norton family were there also, was a joy to meet n' greet. Yo Mama was a welcome surprise too, singing it all the way to the show the day after. Venue was beautiful relaxed, great atmosphere, though some of the security could have chilled out a little! Im a huge skeptic of outdoor shows on an acoustic level but this didn't disappoint. Thanks for the compliments Joe! You rocked the drums on the two dates we attended...well done guys, music is the best. x
I started to post some photo's of this show...
Check them out!
Got some good one's..
I'll post more as I get them edited.
What a great time I had with everyone..
Thanks
This was my first ZPZ show and I'm hooked. Any chance you will ever be coming down south towards Nashville? I was in Richmond visiting with a friend when we decided to go to the show. I'm so glad we did.
This was another great show. It was a real nice laid back venue. Great beer too. Really impressed with Chris on City of Tiny Lights, really sounded great on vocals. Ben was great all night too, good to see him ham it up. Managed to pick up the new CD too. Thanks for signing it!
Nice to meet you last night also Soldad. I never got to ask where you are from. Maybe we can get together before the next concert.
I think your Dad played Blessed relief on Mother's Day at the Lyric Theater in Baltimore in 1971 or 72. Your Peaches In Regalia made me cry with pleasant memories- thanks for a fantastic show- come back soon.
Lindsay definitely gets the terpsichor award for last night. Danielle and her friend ~ nice try but only a close second to Mr. Planer.
For Real, "Yo Mama" was some of the best I've seen from them yet, and I was at that Roxy anniversary show that they're gonna release as a DVD.
aw dammit - I missed Yo Mama.... indeed that does suck!
Yo Mama...I hope the band plays that here in Liverpool UK.
Nice one guys... the show sounded awesome (mind you, I would expect nothing else from this band).
Sucks for Wayne he missed an incredible rendition of "Yo Mama" to close the show. Outfreakinstounding!
thepoodlebites- can you send me a copy of the pic we all took with Chris when you get a chance? briankhollar@gmail.com
Just got back home to Chicago..
I'm off to work but I'll post some photo's and maybe a little video of some on stage dancing last night.
It was great getting together with the people from this website.
Great Show!
The elusive PRS did not show last night but I vow to track down the beast in future outings!
Thanks DZ and the Band/crew for being as kind as possible to all of us at the show!
The Family Norton were so kind and Chris is doing a find job!
The Grandma Nortons were there last night...

Hey Dweezil, Can't wait for the show tomorrow afternoon. I'll be front and center. Any chance you can add Inca Roads to the set list? Would love to hear it.
If all goes according to plan I will be joining y'all on this one and see you in Virginia!! TSBak I cant wait to her all about the Roo tomorrow.
I just survived the heat of Bonnaroo. Hopefully Richmond weather for a few hours will be a cakewalk. Opening band? No!
Re: the guest TBA
The Former Champions, a funky electronic rock band (local RVA band) will be the guest on Thursday at Groovin.. http://www.facebook.com/FormerChamps?ref=ts They are a talented group, and should be a great opener. Can't wait for the show, always excited that ZPZ seems to enjoy playing on the east coast!
Sunny/92 in Richmond on Thursday. Watch out for the humidity though, guys! Outdoor gigs in VA can be brutal... I know from experience ;)
got my ticket today. PUMPED UP!!!
I got it...
Dweezil..Have an audience sing along!
You pick the song and time for the audience to come in on.
I bet we nail it!
Dweezil.. If you should happen to read this I was trying to find out if this is going to be s full set..It says guest TBA?
