The music still resonates...
Hi Dweezil and the band!
I was at the Crossroads in KC, Sunday June 6.
I was the fellow standing right in front of you , and you gave your setlist to, and shook my hand. Thanks so much for that.I will remember it and share that as long as I live. The whole show was such an emotional experience.I was laughing so hard tears were running down my face, and then some parts of the songs(esp. your solo in Lonely Little Girl)had me choking the tears back.So moving hearing you play your dad's music and sharing your feelings with everyone, I know it has to be hard for you at times. Yeah, driving up to KC with my wife and best friends(they were next to us)was one of the best times I have ever had. I turned 52 the day before, and it was kind of a birthday present from my wife and friends, so what more can I say. Ben and Pete were cracking me up as well. Fantastic bass player and Ben sings the songs pretty darn good. He seems to enjoy himself as well.
The song selection was perfect. Little House, Apostrophe, oh and Blessed Relief...wow!
Hope you can make back to Tulsa really soon. And like I mentioned last month or so, you have an open invitatio…Read more

Hope you can make back to Tulsa really soon. And like I mentioned last month or so, you have an open invitation for dinner and good ol' Oklahoma hospitality if you can find the time.
Thanks again for a wonderful evening of dancing and delight and be safe on the road.
Your dad would be so proud of you!
Your friends,
Chris and Terri Foreman
Dweezil, thanks for signing my manuscript (right under your Dad's signature!). Great show, you are a treasure. Please keep it up, see you next time!
Great weather, great set, great musicians, great attitude, great new keyboardist.
what a setlist! Great solos! I hope you got the night recorded. Big Swifty was incredible as was the whole evening. Very nice guitars and the effects too. The band is fuller with the added keys. Everyone in the band are excelant musicans. Thanks again for Blessed Relief and Peaches!
thx for blessed & for peaches too!
live from KC. The instruments are ready...awaiting the show...
Request: Blessed Relief.
Looking forward to the show at KC Crossroads on Sunday. This will be my third time seeing you. Saw your Dad perform 4 times in KC. He would have never imagined how well you have sustained his music and your own exceptional musical talent. The band, great musicians all. Thanks for traveling and performing the music.
I will be with friends who are great fans of you and your Dad. One of them, Tom Askew, is so much so he used to hold all day FZ music marathons every Mother’s Day! Ha! Those were wonderful. If possible give a shout to Tom on Sunday. Either way, know the appreciation for the music and fun is out there.
I can't wait. This will be the seventh time I've got to see you perform live.
Thanks DZ for the generous offer of an autograph. I genuinely appreciate the generosity. I don't however think that the surface upon which Ben dances will make much of a difference though. Looking forward to seeing you here in June and thanks again!
Anyone else going to be going from KC to Denver to SLC.. I will see you there if so.. I guess I will be finding out what this Gerbal Cage is all about...
I would like to learn some of Ben's dance moves during a Dweezila seminar.
I'll be happy to sign your guitar, bring it on down. Keep in mind that Ben might want to dance all over it to see if he can impress you with his dance moves this time around.
I have a tiny request, so tiny; you won't even have to rehearse for it. I've spent the last several years building a replica of your dad's butterscotch blonde Performance strat. I have sunk way more time and money into this instrument than I could ever dream of seeing, but I didn't build it with the intent to sell it. I have an autographed photo of your dad playing his Performance in a matted frame on the wall in my music room and I plan to hang this strat directly under that photo. I would be honored if I could have you autograph it for me when you come to KC in June. Assuming you're willing to do so, please let me know whatever I need to do to make this as painless as possible for you as I know you'll have 10,000 demands upon your time while you're here. If there isn’t time, I will of course understand and will nevertheless enjoy the show just the same. Looking forward to seeing/hearing ZPZ yet again for the 6th time.
I think I will have to makethe drive.
I will be there.
its all about the music but you could not give me airfare and a free hotel to go to that Gerbal Cage again ......the pizza was good and the Flying Monkey beer was good but the Venue f*****g sucked !
DZ: Looking forward to seeing you again at "The Gerbal Cage" complete with cedar wood shavings on the ground! I know that last year we were the last stop on the tour and you still played your a*s off! I remember Sheila had problems with her keyboard and that sorcerer's apprentice of a tech you had took that thing apart (your stage right) poofed some fairy dust in it, waved his hands over it, said some mumbo-jumbo, checked it with a VOM, put it back together, all in less than 4 minutes and delivered it back to her keyboard rack, plugged it in and it worked like a new one all night long! No pressure there! Enjoyed the show, but wasn't real keen on the new vocalists efforts. Yeah, he knew the words, but couldn't dance a lick to save his life. Thanks for coming back to the Heartland!
