Massive, massive show Dweez. Absolute killer. I went to two shows at Hamer Hall in 2007, and went to the Palais Theatre show a couple of years ago. I feel I am so lucky to see each and every show. Thanks so much. I so love each and every member of the band.
Bow Tie Daddy and Wedding Dress Song/The Handsome Cabin Boy were the only tracks I didnt know.
'twas so good to hear some of the early stuff like Motherly Love and then the late stuff like Any Kind of Pain, great show ... again- congrats to ou and your band
all the best ....Oh and congratulations on your recent nuptials too
cheers looking forward to you next return visit to Melbourne
Thank you all for a fantastic show last night, what a brilliant group of talented musicians you all are! Loved hearing the early stuff and Pete's vocal cord gymnastics/torture really made me feel as if Captain Beefheart & Ricky Lancelotti were there in the room with us. Outstanding show all round. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing you again next time you visit Melbourne.
Hi, Dweezil! please post here a set list of the show. Please friends which have a some video records to post here too...for him friends from eastern Europe! Best regards andremmember - MUSIC is The BEST !!!
What a top night it was. Great to hear Frank's earlier music played, you guys never fail to impress. All of you are so good at what you do, it is a privelidge to wittness Frank's music being reborn. The new band members are doing such a fine job. Chris on keys has a great vioce. One of the high lights of the night for me was Pete doing the Beefheart numbers; really awesome. Man he's got some talent. Thank you all for coming to Melbourne and looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Thanks Dweezil, you've done it again! So stoked!! My wife came with me to your last concert cos a friend couldn't make it and she loved it (even though she only got 4 hours sleep before catching a plane) ... she reckons this concert was even better and that your playing is also even better! So, that's another family member I've converted or corrupted to Zappa music, heheh!
The only downer was the crappy venue ... hardly any seats available but you got us all on our feet anyway! Excellent playing, you were all so tight. Loved your jammin' with your support git player (Jamie??) and also the Melbourne player (Brett?) who ripped it up on slide in standard tuning and pocketed the slide and just kept playing with you.
FLICKIN' BRILLIANT. (Oh, am I not allowed to say flicking?) OK, VERY FLICKING BRILLIANT!! Can't wait till you get here next ... although I'll bet you'll be glad to have a break somewhere in between!
Hi Dweezil could you play Son of Orange County please for my brothers they will be joining us tonight. they got me into Franks music when i was knee high to grass hopper. Thanks mate. So looking forward to tonight see ya .Chris.
Great to have you back in Aus. Iam flying over to Sydney from Perth for the Sydney show. Last time we met was at Dweezilla 2010. I flew from Perth to the USA.... I have a photo of you presenting me withmy statue for travelling all that distance. I would love to catch up and have it signed by you on Saturday night..... would this be possible. Thanks Dermot.
Hi gang, Well in I am so pumped to see you come to Melbourne. My dearly deceased brother Wayne, got me onto Franks music years ago, and we also said we would go together if you guys came to town. Unfortunatley he is not here to enjoy it, so with his spirit on my shoulder, I will go and enjoy every minute for him. I am sure he will be with me on the night I will be cluutching my Joes Gararge album...the last one he bought, in hope that Dweezil and co will sign. Love Kym
Why is that just when my daughter has turned sixteen, loves Frank's music, spreads what she calls "Frank love" to people at parties, that she now cannot go to see his music performed by his son because they've decided to play at a bloody licensed venue when the last two concerts, she could have gone to. It sucks no end.
