No Telluride on the tour dates anymore..

Twist and Frug

Thank you for another great evening of Music ZPZ. I think Ben misses Megan... Abbie? Cant wait until you make it to Telluride. If you make it to Telluride..!!

I was at Buffalo & Boston. RTF's show was identical down to the banter. The only variation was that Chick had peeps in the audience in Boston and the "back in the day'' story centered around them versus him & Stanley deciding to do their thing while spinning Coltrane in their apartment.

No Audio clip of JLP on 50/50....No Dude... Don't say that!

I sure hope JLP can do this through out the rest of the tour...

The Horseshoe Casino show near Chicago would be nice.....(Hint ..Hint!)

Still can't believe that there was no Chicago Venue for this tour...

Meant to ask you why at Dweezilla.
DaveOC

Question for those who went both nights:  Was the RTF IV set the same both shows?any variations?

krell

What a great show, Dweezil. Really glad to see Jean Luc on 50 50.  Smile

Keep up the great work and I will see you the next time you come to the Big Apple!!!!

jeff_horowitz@hotmail.com

Awesome show!! Dweez you wail....I am hoping you are teaching your daughters to play guitar to kep this thing going for generations to come.  The Jean Luc appearance was very special indeed and my other fav of the night was Son Of Mr Green Genes.  Thank you so much for taking the show to the big apple for 2 nights so we can hear Zappa played so well.  Please keep coming back!!!

...and you gets pooched every time they do."

Maybe JPL onstage at the Greek back home in LA?

DaveOC

Wow JLP on Fifty Fifty , too bad there is no audio.Maybe it will happen again.

HowieZowie

Aaargh! Missed JLP! So glad it went down though, right on! The union sites are a drag, I always had major fights as a guitar tech with the local guys."Rudy Wants To Buy Yez A Drink"! The Beacon is an especially difficult one. Nig Biz fo' shore!

Dweezil

Can't record anything in the union houses. Too much money. They charge several thousand dollars just for a stereo front of house archival reference mix with no rights to release it commercially. Yet audiences bootleg it for free... weird business, weird world.

GMBG

@DWEEZIL Hope you record the something special and give us a taste of that on the audio clips section

Dweezil

Tonight in NYC we might get a chance to try out something special. It will all depend on whether we get a sound check...

CosmicDebris

Thanks for signing the tat on my shin last night Dweezil!  I am off to have it tattooed!  See you tonight and thank you for bringing so much joy to the masses! Keeping the music alive and current in 2011 is not a small task.  But you have succeeded in that my friend, and we are ALL better for it.  Much love to you and the family and the band for not letting your Father's music fade away.

Dweezil

Thanks Larry! Welcome to the site.

Larry K.

I came to see Chick Corea, and I was blown away by Dweezil and his band. who were those masked men?

What a great show -- DZPZ was brilliant - period. R2F was very enjoyable- each player was at the top of his game, but they didnt seem as tight as our friends in DZPZ --who blew the roof off of the joint.  It was a great evening - my son Zach and I enjoyed every minute, but we wish that the DZPZ set was longer.  Interesting note -- it is my opinion that the applause and cheers at the conclusion of each Zappa song was much louder and more sustained than the applause for the R2F set -- PLUS, although the house wasn't full for the first downbeat at 8pm, it filled up pretty quickly, with very few who seemed to be showing up late to just see R2F -- on the other hand, I was in center orchestra and there were loads of empty seats by the second song of the R2F set.

Pictures are up in photo section

Request for Swifty & Green Genes.

Looks like it's every other night for Green Genes and if that's the case, then this night would be an off night. So DZ, pls make an exception and play it this night for NY!  Thanks.

Mars

Anyone happen to be driving through Philly or just south of Philly for this show? I have a ticket, a place to stay but NO RIDE. :(

DaveOC

That's probably gonna be doors open at 6pm.

cozylittlefooties

Ok, so my receipt sez 8pm, the ticketmaster website sez 8pm, yet this website sez 6pm. Anyone have an idea as to which it is?
