Nice quote. I too agree that doing is good. An Indianapolis television show will air July 14th about the death of our son in Iraq. It has quite a bit of Zappa connections. The show will air on WFYI at 7:30PM July 14th
Also there is a play that will premier in Indianapolis Aug 5 - 20 called Trouble Shoot. It too is about the death of Chancellor Keesling. Even more Zappa in the play.
I have a feeling there will be a strong Indianapolis turn out for the August 21st show at the Murat.
Also, What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. I suffered a separation in March, its a typical affirmation but its a good one, but this one from da Vinci I am adding to my list.. v. good.
I've just begun a similar experience in my life ... This quote has buoyed my spirits and I thank you Dweezil...I've always considered Zappa to represent fortitude in the face of adversity among other things...peace... ( real peace...not that phony hippie kind they advertise in the back pages of the free press ) luv ya' man
Good quote! I hadn't heard that one before. The Oscar Wilde one is good too. My personal favorite comes from Frank, of course: " Progress is not possible without deviation from the norm. " I have used this quote to help inspire myself into being a better human being. It works!
suffering exists...know that your Family, friends and fans are there to lend compassion in times of strife. Sending along good vibes and wishes for a good outcome to your situation.
Sorry ( yes i am Canadian) to hear your going through a rough time. You seem like a great guy I hope things get better for you or your loved ones concerned. On a lighter note I think this was a character reference for Yoda. Coincidentally Da Vinci is my cats name. Best wishes. Dave
My thoughts are with you and your family.
You have so much positive energy and a steadfast history of getting things done. This is the fabric of what makes you who you are. The traumatic events in our lives at times seem like one of those surprise tests we never thought was coming our way. Your DNA is all about getting things done and giving it your all where I don't think that "train that could" has ever witnessed you in his rear view mirror. If you have the time and are in the mood for an uplifting experience I would suggest the film "Blindsight" where six blind Tebetan teenagers climb the 23,000-foot Lhakpa Ri on the north side of Mount Everest. If you happen to have a Netflix account that tittle can be streamed to your computer or home theater environment.

A rabbi by the name of Jack Riemer once said that our goal should be: "To do instead of just to be - to become instead of merely to wish..."
